The most in-demand benefits for 2023

The most in-demand benefits for 2023
Mark Smith: Good afternoon, Joanna Middleton! Welcome to P2P Live. Today, we're not talking about perk sessions, but rather the benefits job seekers are looking for in the marketplace. So, Joanna, what benefits are they after?

Joanna: Absolutely. Our recent Market Salary Report for this year highlights the top three benefits job seekers prioritize: Learning and Development, flexibility, and packages and allowances.

Mark Smith: Interesting. Could you elaborate on Learning and Development?

Joanna: Learning and Development is now the number one priority, with 79% of job seekers seeking career development and training opportunities. This even outranks remuneration.

Mark Smith: Fascinating. And what about flexibility?

Joanna: Flexibility remains a high priority, with 76% desiring flexible working hours and 71% wanting flexibility in their work location, including the option to work from home.

Mark Smith: Great insights. Now, onto packages and allowances. Any surprises there?

Joanna: Surprisingly, 50% of job seekers prioritize insurances in their packages and allowances. These aspects are becoming increasingly important as they directly impact overall income and quality of life.

Mark Smith: That's valuable information. I recently debated how some people equate career progression with securing a pay rise. What's your take on that?

Joanna: Many candidates are now seeking progression and development over just remuneration. The fulfillment from career progression is proving to be more significant.

Mark Smith: Good point. Now, shifting gears, how's the job market in Sydney?

Joanna: The market is stabilizing, and candidates have multiple offers on the table. Roles are becoming more diverse, leading to a steady and positive market for job seekers.

Mark Smith: Excellent. If someone wants to connect with you, how can they reach out?

Joanna: Connect with me on LinkedIn, Joanna Middleton. You can also reach me at 028270-9760 or via email at joanna@people2people.com.

Mark Smith: Fantastic! Thanks for joining us on P2P Live, Joanna. We hope to see you again soon!
